I went with option 1 for the nodeXL visualization. I had some issues with getting the right settings for importing the data from twitter. It was because his dialog was different than my newer version. However, it all came together and I was able to follow along easily. Based on my graph you can tell than I dont use twitter that much and that my followers don’t have a lot of links to one another. They are spread out all by themselves. Here is an image:
